Refurbished in 2012, the property is entered via a grand entrance staircase with stunning original cornicing, which leads to inner hall, impressive reception room with high ceilings, wooden flooring and stunning views over the Residents’ Gardens across the City.
Glazed doors from the Reception Room lead to a fully equipped eat-in kitchen with dishwasher and integrated Smeg stainless steel appliances. The property has a spacious master bedroom with en suite shower room and stunning views to the three great towers of Trinity College directly behind the property, one further good-sized double bedroom again with excellent views to the rear and separate bathroom. Excellent storage throughout including high level cupboards and 2 walk in cupboards, one of which has a window to the rear and houses the gas boiler.
Situated moments from the shops, bars and restaurants of Central Glasgow and within easy reach of the amenities of the West End, Woodlands Terrace is ideally located close to the green open spaces of Kelvingrove Park, while Charing Cross Station is also nearby. Motorists can gain easy access to the M8 and Clydeside Expressway both only a few minutes’ drive away.

History of Property
Woodside Terrace was built in 1835 extending the Crescent built four years earlier from the edge of the Charing Cross area of Glasgow. Designed by George Smith, the renowned Edinburgh architect, it was the second residential development of the parkland feuded from the wealthy country house estates of Wellfield, Clairmont and Woodlands which originally lay at the edge of the rapidly expanding town.

Designed to accommodate the wealthy upper elite of Glasgow society who were aiming to escape west from the fumes of the rapidly industrializing city, the architecture combines the restrained use of Greek neo classic architecture with the sobre, imposing Doric honey ashlar porticoes standing majestically above the private Residents’ Gardens which are laid out to its immediate south.
